I am a cognitive scientist who recently started a postdoc position at the group for science of science communication at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE. I finished my PhD with the group for Social Psychology and Decision Sciences at the Department of Psychology of the University of Konstanz. The main focus of my work is in science of technology and energy communication as well as aesthetic judgement and its relationship to eye movements and pupillary responses. Specifically, I studied the relationship between visual processing fluency and its boundary conditions in the past. Further interests of mine included color perception and visual attention. Outside of my primary academic endeavors, I have also done work in science communication and science illustration. You can read psychoSoph, a comic on psychology, cognitive science and neuroscience, in both German and English.
